Workplace Rights Resource Center
To help our members quickly, simply, and confidentially research their legal rights at work, the Steelworkers and Workplace Fairness have launched an online Workplace Rights Resource Center.
The online Workplace Rights Resource Center presents in-depth legal information, in a FAQ (frequently asked questions) format, for workers seeking to learn more about legal rights in the workplace. Site visitors can explore categories such as termination, discrimination, and leaves of absence to learn more about what legal protections may or may not apply, especially in non-unionized workplace settings. Specific information is provided for each state about filing deadlines and government agencies that may be able to provide assistance. It gives you the information and tools to resolve workplace problems on your own, decide when legal action may be appropriate, and learn where to turn for help, including contacting USW staff.
